US Senator says Russians dying 'best money ever spent'
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said it was a shame that the United States had such senators, in response to Graham's comment.
US Senator Lindsey Graham has admittedly said that killing Russians in the Ukraine war was the best money his country has ever spent.
"The Russians are dying. It's the best money we've ever spent," Graham said during a meeting with Zelensky on Friday: to which Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky replied, "Thank you very much."

"It is difficult to imagine a greater shame for the country than having such senators," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, responding to Graham's statements.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that the US's military aid to Ukraine, as expressed by Graham's words, is comparable to the American industrialists' support of Adolf Hitler’s rise to power in the 1930s.

Earlier today, Russian President Vladimir Putin urged the country's Border Guard Service to effectively use all means to protect Russia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Border Guard Day holiday, Putin pointed out that "border guards have always stood sentinel over state interests, and if the enemy attacked our country, they were the first to repel the onslaught and resolutely went into battle, as it happened in June 1941."
"We will never forget this unprecedented feat and the heroes of the Great Patriotic War," he added.
The Russian President described today’s staff members of the country's Border Guard Service as the successors of those who defeated Nazism.
