A US airforce spy plane forced a passenger flight to reduce its altitude over the black sea.
The passenger plane was an Airbus, and according to Radarbox and Flightradar24, the incident took place on Friday.
A source told the Interfax news agency the air traffic control told the passenger plane to lower its course by 500 meters for a short stretch over the Black Sea.
Sources reported that the US aircraft took flight from Souda Bay Naval Base in Crete and transited the Black Sea.
Russia's Defense Ministry said Friday it deployed two Russian fighters, a Sukhoi Su-27 and a Sukhoi Su-30, to escort two US military reconnaissance planes over the Black Sea.
The US Embassy in Moscow made no immediate comment about the incident.
