US thinks UN has 'Israel' problem: US envoy
Linda Thomas-Greenfield called the UN's concentration on the Israeli occupation "problematic."
Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the US ambassador to the United Nations, expressed Thursday that she believes the UN has an "Israel" issue when questioned on the matter.
"I think that we have an Israel problem in the UN," Greenfield responded, asserting that the United Nations has placed an undue emphasis on the Israeli occupation, claiming that even before October 7, "Israel" has been a constant topic on the UN's agenda.
No other nation in the world has had a monthly meeting on the council's agenda in decades, implying an undue concentration on "Israel" in the UN, and "it is problematic," Thomas-Greenfield noted.
It is noteworthy that while Thomas-Greenfield makes these assertions, the very issue of "Israel" and all the chaos it continues to cause in the Middle East remains unresolved as it continues to pummel Gaza with airstrikes and kill civilians, targeting civilian villages in Lebanon, and conduct raids in the West Bank, arresting and killing Palestinians.
The Israeli occupation carried out yet another massacre in Gaza on Wednesday, targeting a UN school in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central part of the Strip, killing at least 14 people and injuring several others, among them UN employees.
According to the Gaza Media Office, the massacre at al-Jaouni School marks the 47th carried out by the occupation in the Nuseirat camp, which is currently home to over a quarter of a million residents and forcibly displaced individuals.

The media office added that employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) were also wounded.
Al-Jaouni School, which shelters over 5,000 forcibly displaced people, is one of more than 17 schools and displacement centers in the Nuseirat camp that have been bombed by "Israel" since the start of its war on Gaza last October.
Palestinian sources reported that the school was struck by a missile that penetrated the upper floors and exploded on the ground floor, specifically in the storage room where UNRWA employees were operating.
Earlier today, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that, on the 341st day of the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on the Strip, the number of martyrs has risen to 41,084, with 95,029 others wounded.
In the past 24 hours, the Israeli occupation has committed four massacres against families in Gaza, resulting in 64 martyrs and 104 injuries the ministry said.
Meanwhile, other casualties remain under the rubble and on the streets, with the occupation army preventing the search and rescue missions of the ambulance and civil defense teams, it concluded.
'Israel' filled with rape apologists, they are getting louder: Haaretz
Rape culture and apologists are plaguing "Israel," and their voices are only being amplified, according to Israeli media.
Israeli newspaper Haaretz published a report on Wednesday discussing the occupation's prevalent rape culture that exists both in the entertainment industry and the military.
Known as the "king of Mizrahi music," a hologram of deceased Israeli singer Zohar Argov will be displayed at the upcoming Revivo show, Channel 12 announced. An identified voice groaned off-camera, potentially due to Argov being a convicted rapist, Haaretz said.
Argov spent a year in prison in 1978 after he was found guilty of raping a woman who refused to go home with him. A similar case occurred nine years later, while he was discharged from serving a prison sentence after stealing a pistol from a police station, when he attempted to rape his friend's girlfriend and singer Yishai Levi.
"Okay, there was the rape and the convictions but nevertheless…" the Channel 12 correspondent stated, continuing to promote the singer while not being able to finish her sentence.
Eyal Golan, another Israeli singer has also faced repeated rape allegations of courting, manipulating, and sleeping with underaged girls for years, Haaretz reported. Despite these cases and women protesting at his concerts, Golan continues to sell out large venues in "Israel," and was honored with an award by by the Knesset Caucus for the Promotion of Israeli Music in 2018.
