Use of B-2 bombers against Yemen shows US panic: Yemeni source
A military source confirms to Al Mayadeen that Yemen will remain undeterred in the face of the "unsuccessful American-British aggression."
A senior Yemeni military source pointed out on Thursday that the use of B-2 Spirit bombers against Yemen reflects American panic over the potential loss of its aircraft in Yemeni airspace, and its fear of Yemen acquiring unexpected aerial capabilities.
Speaking to Al Mayadeen, the source stated that the British and American weapons and aircraft used to strike Yemen would not be able to neutralize the Yemeni army's strategic capabilities, which are constantly being developed and enhanced.
"Yemen will not stop; it will continue to support Gaza and Lebanon, and the escalation will have catastrophic consequences for the Americans, the British, and their allies, and we believe they are aware of this," the source further stressed.
The airstrikes did not target weapon depots or affect the military's arsenal in terms of quantity and quality, with Al Mayadeen's correspondent confirming that the aggression targeted mountains, a small communication network in Saada, and empty camps.
Additionally, the source indicated that "these strikes came after a painful blow received by the American enemy in the Red Sea, following the targeting of its commercial ships with missiles and drones that accurately hit their targets."
US-UK aggression serves the Zionist lobby
Regarding the aggression being a means to satisfy the "Zionist lobby", the source clarified that "the American and British failure to protect the [Israeli occupation] entity is evident, and they resort to targeting Yemen unsuccessfully. It is clear that their assessment and calculations are incorrect, and their aggression against Yemen is futile."
He stressed that "the aggression against Yemen is merely appeasing the Zionist lobby, which is confused and defeated in Gaza and southern Lebanon, and is being targeted from Yemen and Iraq, experiencing significant failures in its air defenses."
Regarding the American-British target bank in Yemen, as well as "Israel's", the source described them as blind, asserting that "their plans are clear to the Yemeni army."
The Yemeni military source concluded his statements by underlining that "the Yemeni people do not hide; they will come out in millions to challenge America, Britain, and the Zionist entity, in constant support for Gaza and Lebanon."
US deploys strategic B-2 bomber in aggression on Yemen
An American-British aggression targeted Yemen's capital Sanaa, and the governorate of Saada, early on Thursday.
Launching rounds of air raids on the Yemeni cities, the United States and the United Kingdom mark yet another act of military aggression in the region, in their campaigns of supporting the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza.
This aggression saw the use of the Northrop B-2 Spirit heavy strategic bomber, which marks an escalation in the US attacks against Yemen.
A US defense official confirmed to CNN that the strikes were conducted via the B-2 bomber, which is usually deployed to strike areas heavily defended by air defense systems.
"The B-2 is a much larger platform than the fighter jets that have been used so far to target [Ansar Allah] facilities and weapons, capable of carrying a far heavier load of bombs," the report revealed.
The deployment of the strategic bomber comes amid a remarkable performance of the Yemeni Armed Forces' Air Defense Force, which has downed at least 11 MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aircraft systems (UASs) over the past year. Yemeni air defenses have also constituted a threat to US-UK fighter aircraft.
