Violent confrontations ongoing in Tulkarm for the 2nd day
The Israeli occupation forces raid the Tulkarm refugee camp, leading to violent confrontations that resulted in paramount destruction and various serious injuries.
Israeli occupation forces raided the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm, on Thursday, while Resistance fighters confronted the large-scale incursion that included heavy deployment of occupation soldiers on the outskirts of the camp.
Sources told Al Mayadeen that the Israeli raid led to serious damage to Tulkarm's public infrastructure. Reports also revealed that explosions were heard intermittently, as occupation forces prohibited emergency personnel from entering the camp.
Our sources confirmed that the occupation force detained and transferred approximately 10 Palestinians from the camp to detention centers.
Meanwhile, the resistance fighters are engaged in fierce battles with the Israeli occupation forces that invaded the town of Tulkarm for the second day, in the northwest of the occupied West Bank.
Tulkarm has seen relatively high activity by Resistance fighters, making it one of Israeli military command's main targets since 2023. The Governorate includes several refugee camps, located in close vicinity to central occupation cities in '48 occupied territories, such as "Netanya".
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad's (PIJ) al-Quds Brigades - Tulkarm Brigades announced that its fighters have engaged in intense confrontations, with occupation forces in the Nur Chams camp, since the early hours of the morning.
Local Palestinian sources reported damage to a bulldozer belonging to the occupation army after it was targeted with an explosive device in the Nur Shams camp, while footage saw several bulldozers and armored jeeps pull out of the Tulkarm refugee camps at 7:00 pm (local time).
Moreover, at least seven Palestinians have been killed by Israeli occupation forces in Tulkarm since Wednesday. Footage emerging from the camp has also shown the body of a martyr being desecrated by occupation forces, who had bound the martyr's legs together and pulled him throughout the camp's alleyways. The Israeli regime's troops also destroyed a house and set another ablaze in the governate of Tulkarm.
The Prisoners' Information Office has confirmed that the occupation arrested 16 Palestinians, which includes five Gazans and 11 residents in the West Bank, on Wednesday. The individuals were detained during a raid on the Palestinian Um al-Fahem town in the occupied '48 territories.
