Wake up before another 'Pearl Harbor' in the North: Israeli media
After the successful breach of Israeli security by the Resistance in Lebanon, an Israeli columnist stresses the entity's security failure, emphasizing the urgent need for it to "wake up".
A report published by Israeli website Walla! discusses a concerning development: the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, Hezbollah, released footage on Tuesday showing Haifa Bay, the Israeli Navy base, and other sensitive facilities, demonstrating the extent of its intelligence capabilities.
In the report, the columnist suggests that the drone was launched from Palestinian territory, but then dismisses such claims with a rhetorical question, "Take it easy on yourself. Is it plausible that a Palestinian who infiltrated the border near Haifa could have operated a drone hovering over the Dimona reactor?"
He then referred to October 7, highlighting that the same infiltration was done again. He asks, "I'm not even sure who is responsible for the failure of the motorized paratroopers on October 7. What is the answer to such a thing today?"
Shedding light on the Air Force's weakness, he stressed that it is responsible for protecting the entity, especially from the northern side. In return, army officials have tried to emphasize that "if UAVs tried to penetrate deep into the country, such as Haifa and more, they would have been identified."

According to the report, Israeli sources stated that there is a challenge in detecting and preemptively warning against UAVs launching from within 2.5 kilometers of the border, targeting military installations and settlements near the northern border. "Now, what will the Air Force say about this breach extending to Haifa, over critical sites, within the security infrastructure? Enough with the excuses."
The columnist stressed that the IOF general staff, under the directive of the political leadership, defines the situation in the North as a "limited campaign", in return, there is an order to evacuate the port. By highlighting this, he is pinning the contradiction in Israeli official statements regarding the occupation's security.
The columnist cautioned against concluding that the drone was operated by locals, stressing that it could be an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) based on its range and altitude, raising a question on how the IOF had "not detected such potentially dangerous aerial activity on its own."
In reference to Pearl Harbor, the Israeli columnist drew a comparison between the United States in 1941 and the current Israeli occupation. He accused the Israeli entity's top brass of failing to recognize warning signs, similar to the United States before Japan's surprise attack. The argument made was that "Israel" is on the brink of experiencing another Pearl Harbor if it does not "wake up."
