  • Buried alive and starved: Gaza’s grim toll deepens

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced Saturday that hospitals received the bodies of 66 martyrs, including four retrieved from under the rubble, and 345 injuries over 24 hours. Many victims remain trapped beneath debris and along roads, unreachable due to continued bombardment.

Since October 7, 2023, as of August 30, 2025, the death toll of the Israeli genocide in Gaza has surged to 63,371 Palestinians, in addition to 159,835 injuries.

Since March 18, 2025, the toll has risen to 11,240 Palestinians killed and 47,794 wounded.

Moreover, as the Israeli-made famine looms over Gaza, 15 starved Palestinians were killed since early morning, and over 206 were injured while trying to receive aid at designated "aid distribution sites" and were later transported to hospitals, as per the Ministry's report.

The death toll among Palestinians killed while seeking food aid in designated distribution zones has now climbed to 2,218, with more than 16,434 others wounded, according to the report.

Infant dies of hunger as 21 killed in Gaza by Israeli strikes in 24h

At least 21 Palestinians were killed and several others wounded early Saturday as Israeli warplanes launched a wave of airstrikes across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip, according to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent.

Our correspondent reported that Israeli invading units detonated five unmanned ground units in the al-Nazla area, north of Gaza, between dawn and early morning, coinciding with heavy bombardment of the city’s northwestern neighborhoods.

Al-Shifa Hospital confirmed the death of infant Rania Ghban, who succumbed to severe malnutrition and lack of access to treatment.

Meanwhile, al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat reported that four Palestinians were killed and eight injured in a strike near an aid distribution point along Salah al-Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza in the central Strip. The hospital also received the remains of three martyrs pulled from the rubble following an Israeli strike on a house on al-Ishrin Street in Nuseirat camp the previous evening.

Additionally, a child was killed and others were wounded in a brutal Israeli aggression near Abu Arif Street in Deir al-Balah. Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis later reported the killing of a Palestinian woman in an airstrike north of the city.

The Israeli assaults come amid continued Israeli gunfire near the humanitarian aid hub in the Netzarim corridor, further compounding the hardships faced by Gaza’s besieged residents.
