Washington redirects thousands of missiles for Ukraine to "Israel"
The United States is transferring tens of thousands of artillery shells intended for Ukraine to "Israel", to support the occupation in its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip.
Israeli media revealed information about the United States redirecting tens of thousands of American artillery shells to “Israel” after they had prepared them for the war in Ukraine.
According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, an American ship “unloaded tens of thousands of 155 mm shells,” noting that this shipment of shells is intended to support "Israel" in its war on the Gaza Strip and also in Lebanon.
The newspaper pointed out that the occupation unloaded a cargo ship carrying about 2,500 tons of military equipment sent to the Israeli occupation army - around 170 containers - and that the equipment was loaded onto hundreds of trucks and transported to military units.
This comes after the US has begun sending smaller military aid packages to Ukraine in order to stretch out support, given a stalemate in Congress over Ukraine financing, according to the White House.
White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, told reporters that the United States intends to support Ukraine for as long as feasible while Congress debates further funding.
The cut in funds comes amid the passing of a new $14.3bn aid bill to "Israel", despite warnings against the bill. The Republican measure was approved by 226-196, including 12 Democrats and two rejected Republican votes.
US aircrafts to the Meditarranean
Earlier this week, two US aircraft carrier strike groups, recently deployed to the Eastern Mediterranean, carried out a joint exercise simulating the possibility of being targeted by ballistic missiles and other aerial projectiles.
The naval war fleets were commissioned to the region by Washington to assist "Israel" after Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7 left the occupation entity in a weakened state.
This exercise comes as the war on Gaza saw Israelis committing some 1,000 massacres so far, with the number of Palestinians killed so far exceeding 10,000 martyrs, the majority of whom are children and women.
A total of 11,000 US military personnel participated in the drill, while the Italian warships Fasan and Margottini, also recently dispatched by Italy to the region following the start of the battle, joined the two carrier strike groups to exercise NATO alliance integration.
“The ships and aircraft of two US Navy aircraft carrier strike groups conducted joint exercises over the last three days,” the US Sixth Fleet.
“Sailors and naval aviators from the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) Carrier Strike Group (CSG 12) and those of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) Carrier Strike Group (CSG 2) trained on high-value unit defense, ballistic missile defense, replenishments-at-sea, cross-deck flight operations, and maritime security operations."
Earlier last month, a US Marine rapid response force headed to the eastern Mediterranean Sea due to concerns about the war in Gaza potentially expanding into a regional war, CNN reported, citing two officials.
