We are steadfast, won't leave: Baalbek Hospital chief to Al Mayadeen
As the Israeli occupation continues its raid across Lebanon, Abbas Shokor, the director of the government hospital in Baalbek, confirms that the hospital continues to provide all services to citizens despite the ongoing attacks.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in southern Lebanon reported on Monday that the Israeli occupation conducted a strike on a four-story house in the town of Deir Qanoun in Ras al-Ayn.
Additionally, our correspondent noted that the occupation also targeted Wadi Jilo in the Tyre District and the town of Ghassaniya in the Saida District.
The National News Agency (NNA) reported that the occupation also conducted raids on the towns of Haris and Ainata while targeting Bar'ashit and Haddatha with artillery shelling.
This afternoon, Israeli warplanes also conducted a raid on the al-Wata area, and targeted a house in the Marj Harouf area, situated between the Harouf junction and the Zebdin road.
According to the NNA, the occupation launched a raid on the town of Yanuh, which led to injuries, and launched two raids on the town of Mahrouna.
'Situation at the hospital is under control'
In Baalbek, Abbas Shokor, the director of the city's governmental hospital, told Al Mayadeen that the situation at the facility is under control. He emphasized that they are diligently providing care for the wounded arriving as a result of the Israeli bombing.
He reported a slight shortage of medications, especially anesthetics, and pointed out that companies are not supplying the required drugs. He added that the hospital is being forced to procure medicines from the black market to secure its needs.
However, he assured citizens that the hospital would continue to provide all necessary services to the injured and sick, adding that "No matter the attacks carried out by the occupation, we remain steadfast and will not abandon this land."
