West Bank resists as IOF expand military operations
In the occupied West Bank, the Resistance continues to engage in fierce confrontations against the occupation forces' vehicles and soldiers, achieving confirmed hits against Israeli troops.
Israeli media reported that the Israeli military has extended its operation in Jenin, with sources indicating that forces may soon be redeployed from Gaza to the West Bank.
Amir Bohbot, a military affairs analyst for Israeli news site Walla, reported that the fighting in the Jenin refugee camp was expected to conclude yesterday. However, the decision was made to prolong the operation due to "ongoing intelligence about militant activities". This extension follows instructions from Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, as per Bohbot.
Bohbot reported that the recent confrontations resulted in the death of a soldier from Battalion 906 and injuries to five others. The Israeli army plans to bolster the area with additional Border Guard units, engineering vehicles, special reserve forces, and troops from the Infantry School, he added.
In a related context, Israeli military sources suggested that a broader operation may be considered, involving the Etzion Brigade and Yehuda Regional Brigade due to "escalating security alerts and potential threats." There is also a warning that, given the rising operations in the West Bank, there may be a necessity to transfer forces from Gaza to the West Bank to expand the military campaign, as per the sources.
Resistance operations amid Israeli aggression
In Nablus, the al-Quds Brigades - Nablus Brigade successfully detonated several explosive devices targeting Israeli military vehicles in the Balata camp, resulting in confirmed injuries. Meanwhile, the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades confirmed the detonation of a high-explosive device against Israeli forces in Nablus, inflicting direct casualties.
Meanwhile, the Palestine Red Crescent sources reported that an 18-year-old man was injured by Israeli gunfire during an incursion into the Old Askar camp in eastern Nablus. Additionally, Israeli forces conducted multiple arrests, including Islam al-Zubeidi and Dawood Saleh from Nablus, and Maher Hassan Odeh from the town of Qusra, following extensive raids on their homes.
Israeli forces have been conducting operations in various neighborhoods of Nablus, including al-Dahiya, Rafidia, al-Quds Street, and al-Ma'moun, deploying snipers on rooftops to monitor the situation.
Tulkram resists for the third day
In Tulkarm, Israeli occupation forces have continued their incursions for a third consecutive day, causing significant damage to infrastructure and private property. Reports indicate that Israeli bulldozers have been demolishing and damaging infrastructure in the camp, leaving widespread destruction.
The forces have established positions across several areas of the city, including Al-Haddadeen Street, the Governmental Hospital Street, and the eastern and southern neighborhoods. They have been conducting random and indiscriminate gunfire and have continued their siege of the Al-Israa Specialized Hospital and the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, impeding ambulance services and harassing and interrogating medical personnel.
Jenin under siege
In Jenin, the Israeli military’s offensive continues for the eighth consecutive day, imposing a severe blockade on the city and leading to shortages in essential supplies such as water and child necessities.
Reports also indicate that Israeli forces have withdrawn from the town of Idna, west of al-Khalil, after causing significant damage to the home of Martyr Muhannad Mohammed al-Asoud who carried out Tarqumiyah op last Sunday.
A rally in solidarity with Jenin erupted in the heart of Ramallah, following a call for a general mobilization and strike. This demonstration comes as Israeli forces intensify their raids in the Jalazone camp north of Ramallah.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that Israeli troops have arrested 12 Palestinians so far and have reinforced their presence in the camp, continuing their assault since early morning.
The death toll since the onset of the incursion early Wednesday has surged to 34 Palestinians, with 19 fatalities in Jenin, 8 in Tulkarm, 4 in Tubas, and 3 in al-Khalil. This brings the total number of martyrs in the occupied West Bank since October 7, 2023, to 685.
