West's backing of 'Israel' raises regional security concerns: Iran MFA
The Iranian spokesperson made reference to the escalations that erupted in Palestine as a result of US support for "Israel."
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday that the US and its allies are inciting more violence, instability, and security threats to occur in the Middle East by supporting "Israel."
Tehran, on the other hand, has hosted a 3+3 format meeting of the region's foreign ministers, including those from Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Iran, he added.
"While the United States and some of its allies are escalating the tension and mongering war, instability, and insecurity in the region [of Middle East] by lending unswerving support to the villain Zionist regime [Israel], Tehran was host to the second meeting of the 3+3 Regional Platform entitled 'Time for peace, cooperation and progress in South Caucasus' with the presence of foreign ministers from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey and Russia. Iran remains the pillar and anchor of stability and security in the region on the basis of indigenous collective security doctrine and truly believes in the capacity and effective strength of the countries of the region to settle problems and overcome crises," Kanaani said.

The Tehran talks took place during a time of major shifts in the political landscape of the South Caucasus, following Azerbaijan's rapid military offensive in the ethnic Armenian region of Nagorno-Karabakh in September. The meeting was the first chance for the foreign ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan to discuss the latest developments in the region.
Kanaani was further making reference to the escalations that erupted in Palestine as a result of US support for "Israel." Kanaani warned about the consequences of such a conflict spilling all over the region.

The American military claims to have prepared 2,000 personnel and a range of units on a heightened standby for potential deployment to "Israel". However, defense officials state that the forces are not intended to serve in combat roles and are tasked with advising and medical roles, but some could enter to support Israeli forces.
Earlier today, the President of France Emmanuel Macron expressed his solidarity with "Israel" and affirmed that France's mission is to combat "these terrorist groups," making reference to the Palestinian resistance. "The first goal we should have today is the release of all hostages held by Hamas."
About a week ago, the UK's Prime Minister made a similar announcement by referring to the Palestinian resistance as a threat.
The toll of the Israeli aggression on Gaza currently stands at 5,087 martyred and 15,273 wounded. Over 1.4 million have also been displaced as a result of Israeli airstrikes bombing residences.
