White House: US attuned to 'Israel's' Iran concerns
The Biden administration's National Security Advisor meets with his Israeli counterpart Eyal Hulata.
US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan had a meeting on Monday with the Chairman of the Israeli National Security Council, Eyal Hulata, where they both discussed a range of regional and global securtiy issues.
According to a statement released by the White House, Sullivan emphasized "that the United States is attuned to Israel’s concerns about threats to its security, including first-and-foremost from Iran and Iranian-backed proxies."
The two agreed to continue ongoing coordination through the US-"Israel" Strategic Consultative Group, “and strengthen security and diplomatic cooperation wherever possible with other regional partners.”
Relations with "key Ind-Pacific countries" were discussed, as well as the war in Ukraine, and "the need to continue supporting our Ukrainian partners."
Both advisors said they will continue close coordination on a range of security issues, with them announcing they look forward "to President Biden's visit to 'Israel' in the coming months."
