Working in Mossad fatal for Israelis: 3 agents commit suicide
Israeli media reports that three Mossad agents committed suicide over the past year, and their families are calling on the agency to acknowledge its responsibility.
Three Mossad agents committed suicide in one year, Israeli Channel 12 reported Thursday.
"Two of the agents committed suicide in the Mossad headquarters," Israeli media said.
The agents' families argued that working in the Mossad is what pushed the agents to kill themselves.
"Their families are now struggling to have the Mossad acknowledge its responsibility" for the suicides, the reports added.
The Mossad has always been unstable, especially during the latest period, as Channel 13 reported in November that three senior Mossad officials, whose ranks equated that of a lieutenant in the IOF, resigned following adjustments made by the new Mossad chief.
Israeli writer Corin El-Baz Alush wrote in "Yedioth Ahronoth" about the increase in IOF soldiers' requests for mental health assistance.
The numbers spiked particularly between 2013-2020 after the IOF took the occupation soldiers out of their normal lives and isolated them.
