Yemen carries out 4 operations in Gulf of Aden in support of Gaza
The Yemeni Armed Forces carried out several operations in the Gulf of Aden against Israeli and US ships in light of the aggression on Gaza.
The Yemeni Armed Forces executed Wednesday four operations this morning in the Gulf of Aden as a response to ongoing aggression against the Yemeni people and in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza.
The Yemeni armed forces on the first day of Eid al-Fitr targeted several vessels, including ones belonging to the Israeli occupation and the United States.
The naval forces "successfully, with the help of God Almighty, executed the operations, aiming at disrupting maritime activities in the region and sending a clear message to the aggressors."
Two Israeli vessels, identified as the MSC DARWIN and the MSC GINA, bore the brunt of the Yemeni strikes, indicating a deliberate targeting of vessels linked to Israeli interests. Additionally, the American ship MAERSK YORKTOWN found itself under fire in the Gulf of Aden after clear warnings against such vessels crossing through the body of water.
Further intensifying their actions, Yemeni forces engaged a US warship in the Gulf of Aden deploying several drones in the operation. The Yemeni Armed Forces disclosed that the vessels were targeted utilizing a combination of naval missiles and drones.
The spokesperson of the Yemeni Armed Forces underscored the significance of these operations, portraying them as a fulfillment of religious, moral, and humanitarian obligations toward the Palestinians enduring a prolonged siege and brutal war in Gaza. The spokesperson emphasized that these actions were also intended to safeguard Yemen's sovereignty and interests in the region.
The statement released by the Yemeni Armed Forces reiterated their commitment to ongoing operations in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean until the aggression ceases and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.
No end in sight to Yemeni operations
The Supreme Political Council in Yemen stressed that all US attempts to end the Yemeni naval blockade against Israeli vessels or ships heading to the occupied ports of Palestine will end up in failure, adding that all US-UK airstrikes against Yemen are in vain.
In the context of praising the Yemeni Armed Forces for their continuous efforts, the council saluted their military operations being carried out in defense of occupied Palestine and in support of the people of Gaza.
The council confirmed that the Yemeni stance in support of occupied Palestine until its decisive victory is unwavering and further praised the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in light of the conditions they are going through due to the Israeli war on Gaza.
Yemeni operations in the Red Sea
The latest round of Yemeni operations took place in late March when the Yemen Armed Forces conducted six military operations in 72 hours.
The Yemeni Armed Forces' Navy and Missile Force conducted a series of joint operations totaling four in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, and the Gulf of Aden.
Naval and Missile forces targeted the US-owned and flagged MAERSK SARATOGA container ship in the Gulf of Aden. The last position received by maritime traffic monitoring websites was 3 days ago near the coast of Djibouti.
The YAF also targeted the US-owned APL DETRIOT container ship in the Red Sea. Moreover, the Yemeni forces targeted the UK-owned W HUANG PU in the Red Sea. In their last joint operation, the Naval and Missile forces targeted the PRETTY LADY bulk carrier, which was heading to Israeli-occupied ports in Palestine.
The Yemeni Unmanned Air Force conducted two large-scale and top-tier operations targeting two US destroyers in the Red Sea.
On its part, the Yemeni Missile Force also conducted a number of operations targeting Israeli positions in occupied Um al-Rashrash whose land was usurped to build the southernmost coastal settlement of "Eilat" on the Red Sea.
Brigadier General Saree said that the operation successfully achieved their objectives.
