Yemen's Navy targets US-owned Chem Ranger in Gulf of Aden
The spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces announces the targeting of another US asset, following the latter's aggression on Yemen.
The Yemeni Armed Forces' (YAF) Navy targeted a US-owned chemical tanker, Chem Ranger, sailing through the Gulf of Aden, the spokesperson for the YAF, Brigadier General Yahya Saraee, stated in a televised announcement.
This marks the second consecutive incident in the Gulf of Aden, in which Yemen's Naval forces carried out an accurate anti-ship missile attack on US-owned ships.
Saree reiterated that the YAF's response to the US-UK-led aggression on Yemen is "inevitable," adding that any violation of Yemen's sovereignty will not go unpunished.
The spokesperson said that the YAF's operations will persist until the war on Gaza is stopped and the siege on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip is lifted.
On Wednesday, Saree announced that the Yemeni Navy fired several anti-ship missiles, dealing "precise and direct hits" to the US-owned Genco Picardy in the Gulf of Aden.
The spokesperson reiterated that the YAF will not hesitate to target "all sources of threat in the Arabian and Red Sea, within the legitimate right of defending [Yemen] and supporting the oppressed Palestinian people."
Earlier on Wednesday, the UKMTO had reported that a vessel was hit on the port side of the Gulf of Aden, 60 nautical miles to the southeast of Aden. The UKMTO said that a distress call had detailed the events of a supposed drone attack on the vessel, which led to a fire on board, that was allegedly put out.

US-UK aggression on Yemen proves the effectiveness of operations
Friday's announcement comes after the leader of the Yemeni Ansar Allah Movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi addressed the Yemenis and Muslims on Thursday. The leader's speech followed the US's designation of Ansar Allah as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist on Wednesday.
"American leaders, out of a commitment to the Zionist lobby leaders, stand with the occupation, so how can we not stand with the Palestinians? How can we not support the Palestinian people on the front lines in defending their rights and how can we not confront the oppressors and tyrants?"
"Against whom will our nation fight if it does not stand now against this Israeli, American, and British tyranny?"
"If the Yemeni people did not move to support the Palestinian people, it would be a denial of their religious duties."
"What we do at sea has had a very significant economic impact on the entity. The American-British aggression against our country confirms the effectiveness of what we do at sea in support of the Palestinians."
