Yemen: Confrontations in Marib Continue
The confrontations continue in the city of Marib and are concentrated in the districts of Serwah and Marib.
Hit-and-run battles between the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees, on the one hand, and Hadi's forces and the al-Islah party backed by the Saudi-led coalition planes, on the other, continue in the areas south and west of the Marib Governorate, Al Mayadeen correspondent reported.
Our reporter added that the confrontations are concentrated between the district of Serwah and the city of Marib. Meanwhile, Saudi-led coalition warplanes continue to violate the region’s airspace, in parallel with the deployment of new military reinforcements to the area by the Hadi and al-Islah forces.
On the western coast, the front is witnessing similar intense confrontations with the Saudi-led coalition forces intensifying their military overflight activities in the region.
The Liaison and Coordination Officers Operations Room reported more than 200 raids by the Saudi-led coalition during the past hours.
As part of the ongoing violations against Yemeni civilians, a civilian was martyred and five others were wounded by Saudi-led coalition forces artillery shelling on the Munabbih border district, west of Saada Governorate, north of Yemen.
On his account, Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced on Saturday that “our forces carried out the eighth operation Balance of Deterrence in response to the escalation of the Saudi-led aggression and its crimes and siege."
He explained that the Yemeni armed forces carried out full-scale military operations in the depth of Saudi Arabia against military targets with a number of drones. He clarified that King Khalid Base in Riyadh, King Abdullah Airport in Jeddah, and Abha Airport, as well as Aramco refineries, were targeted with 14 drones.
General Saree reiterated that the armed forces will face any escalation with further escalation until the aggression stops and the siege is lifted.
It is worth mentioning that the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees had earlier regained full control of the Rawdat Jahm area, between the district of Serwah and the city of Marib.
