Yemen: Field Sources Deny Allegations of Regaining Control in Marib
Field sources deny to Al Mayadeen the allegations of the Hadi government forces and the Saudi-led coalition of regaining control of posts in the Juba District, south of Ma'rib, northeast of Yemen.
Field sources denied to Al Mayadeen news reported by Hadi's forces and the al-Islah Party, backed by the Saudi-led coalition, that they regained control of several sites in the al-Juba District, south of Ma'rib Governorate, northeast of Yemen.
The sources confirmed that all attempts by Hadi's forces and the Saudi-led coalition to advance have failed "despite the intense air raids supporting them."
Hadi government forces had announced restoring control over sites in the al-Juba district, after sending military reinforcements to the southern front of the Ma'rib Governorate, attempting to retrieve positions they had lost in the northern outskirts of the al-Juba District, adjacent to the city of Ma'rib. They also aimed to prevent the Yemeni armed forces from making further progress on the ground.
In the same context, four civilians were killed and six others were wounded as a result of renewed artillery shelling by the Saudi-led coalition targeting the Munabbih border district, west of the governorate, north of Yemen.
Saudi violations and the success in Ma'rib
The Sana'a government forces recorded 262 new violations by the Saudi-led coalition forces on the al-Hudaydah fronts during the last 24 hours. In addition, Saudi-led coalition forces bombed areas controlled by the army and committees in al-Hudaydah with 621 artillery shells, and their reconnaissance planes launched five raids on the al-Faza and al-Durayhimi areas, south of al-Hudaydah.
The army and committees also thwarted an infiltration attempt by the Saudi-led coalition forces in the Kilo 16 area, east of al-Hudaydah, further violating the UN-sponsored ceasefire agreement in the coastal governorate on the Red Sea, west of Yemen.
It is noteworthy that on November 2, Yemeni armed forces spokesperson Brigadier Yahya Saree announced that the military operations in the Ma'rib Governorate were successful, noting that the armed forces liberated all the districts in Ma'rib, except for the valley and the city.
The Sana'a government released all prisoners from the al-Abdiya District in the Ma'rib Governorate in an initiative to promote brotherhood and tolerance among Yemenis, aiming to unify ranks in the face of the Saudi-led coalition.
Yesterday, the leader of the Ansar Allah Movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, met a delegation from the tribes of the Abdiya District and a number of the recently liberated districts of Ma'rib and Shabwah and commanded the release of the prisoners of the Abdiya District in Ma'rib Governorate.
