In its session today, the Yemeni House of Representatives in Sanaa, voted and passed a law "banning and criminalizing recognition of the Israeli occupation entity and normalization with it".

The purpose of the drafted law is also to "prevent the establishment of diplomatic, political, military, economic, cultural, or any other direct or indirect relations with the occupation entity."

According to the statement of the House of Representatives, this draft law is in line with religious and national duty, a victory for freedom, justice, and peace, and a deterrent to the risks posed by the Israeli occupation entity to Yemen and the region, as well as the threat it poses to the unity and integrity of society.

The presentation of this project also comes as a means to "protect the country from the risks of Zionist infiltration, safeguard national security, respond to popular demands rejecting normalization, arrogance, American Zionist hegemony, and the repeated violations of Islamic sanctities in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa."

The draft law consists of four chapters, with the first chapter containing the title, definitions, and objectives. The second chapter outlines the implementation of this law, while the third and fourth chapters specify crimes, penalties, and general concluding provisions. The Yemeni House of Representatives in Sanaa approved the draft resolution and voted on it as a whole.

On the other hand, the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa stated that "Sanaa's position is clear in taking direct steps to strike the Zionist entity in its own turf," emphasizing that Sanaa's stance "will only grow more adamant at supporting the right of the Palestinian people to defend themselves and to stop the savage aggression. [and supporting the Palestinians] towards the recovery of their occupied lands by any means necessary, in addition to supporting the steps taken by the resistance axis to support and stand by the Palestinian people."
