A young Palestinian has succumbed to gunshot wounds he sustained more than a month ago during an Israeli army raid on the occupied northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Medical officials and family sources announced the death of Omair Loulah on Tuesday, adding that he was severely wounded when eleven Palestinians, including a 16-year-old, were killed and more than 80 were wounded by Israeli gunshots on February 21, as Israeli occupation forces raided the occupied West Bank.

At the time, widespread confrontations broke out soon after the occupation forces stormed Nablus with dozens of armored vehicles and special forces. The army was quick to block off all entrances to the city, before surrounding a home housing the now-martyred Palestinian resistance fighters, Hossam Isleem and Mohammad Abdulghani.

In a statement, the Lions' Den resistance group said that it engaged in clashes with Israeli forces during the raid, alongside members of the Balata Brigades. Young Palestinians pelted armored troop transports with rocks.

Hussein al-Sheikh, a top Palestinian official, described the raid as a “massacre” and called for “international protection for our people.”

Over the past months, "Israel" has ramped up attacks on Palestinian towns and cities throughout the occupied territories. As a result of these attacks, dozens of Palestinians have lost their lives and many others have been arrested.

Local and international rights groups have condemned the excessive use of force and “shoot-to-kill policy” implemented by the IOF against Palestinians.

On that note, Israeli Police Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir was known last year for his plans to record "a bloody era against the Palestinian people" and prisoners. Since he became Police Minister, Ben-Gvir has pushed for increased attacks against Palestinians and sought to change the status quo in the Islamic holy sites in Al-Quds.
