During his trip to Germany, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky convened with the top general in the US European Command (EUCOM) and the most senior NATO military leader, Christopher Cavoli, on the last leg of his tour this week.
They both met at the Lucius D. Clay Kaserne, previously known as Wiesbaden Air Base, which serves as EUCOM headquarters and a logistics center for NATO’s weapons deliveries to Ukraine.
EUCOM stated that Cavoli and Zelensky discussed the latest updates on Pentagon funding authorized by US President Joe Biden since Zelensky's visit to the US on Tuesday.

According to the New York Times, Cavoli has been taking up the major responsibility of coordinating with Ukraine, while Lt. Gen. Antonio A. Aguto Jr. has been assigned by the Pentagon to work directly with the Ukrainian military “to improve the advice the United States is offering”.
Cavoli is an expert on Eurasia, and an officer of the Afghan War, who is also currently serving as the commander of US Army forces in Europe and Africa, a position he assumed in October 2020. Before then he served as commander of the US Army Europe from January 2018 to October 2020.
