Zelensky's office boycotting 'Israel' over lack of support: Media
Israeli media say there are obvious signs of anger by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his entourage toward Israeli officials.
Israeli media reported on Monday an evident boycott in the past few days by the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on "Israel" over the latter's lack of support to Kiev amid the ongoing war with Russia.
The Israeli Kan channel mentioned in a report that there are obvious signs of anger by Zelensky and his entourage toward Israeli officials. The channel cited diplomatic sources as saying that Zelensky's office is carrying out a form of "boycott" of senior Israeli officials.
It revealed that the second man in the Kiev regime, Andrey Yermak, refused last month to receive a phone call from an Israeli official and said that Kiev expects Israeli occupation Benjamin Netanyahu to express his support for Ukraine and visit the Ukrainian capital.
The channel also indicated that in recent weeks, various groups of ambassadors of countries that support Ukraine were invited to Zelensky's office to hold talks with senior Ukrainian officials, but the Israeli ambassador in Kiev was not invited to such a forum.
Kan also cited Ukrainian sources as saying that Zelensky's anger is due to "Israel" not helping Kiev enough.
In early February, Netanyahu indicated that "Israel" would consider the possibility of supplying arms to Ukraine and thinking about the issue of providing Kiev with the Iron Dome anti-air system.
However, the Israeli premier said he "can’t make any promises. We have to see what options are available and also take into account" "Israel's" interests in the region.
Netanyahu said, "Israel’s contribution will probably be in other areas," claiming that "Israel is currently providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine."
It is noteworthy that in mid-February, Israeli occupation Foreign Minister Eli Cohen arrived in Kiev on the first visit to Ukraine by an Israeli minister since the start of the war.
