Lionel Messi out of FC Barcelona
Lionel Messi, one of the world's most famous football players, is leaving FC Barcelona, the only club he's ever known.
Lionel Messi, who has spent his entire professional career with FC Barcelona, has decided not to return to the famous La Liga club.
"Despite the club and player reaching an agreement and their evident intention to sign a new contract today, this cannot happen due to financial and structural constraints," the Club stated in a brief statement on Thursday.
Messi, 34, has been with FC Barcelona for 17 seasons, winning 10 La Liga titles.
Despite his advanced age, Messi remains one of the best players, scoring 30 goals in 30 matches this season.
And with one of the world's best footballers being on the market, supporters of big clubs like Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain will undoubtedly urge their clubs to spend as much money or euros as possible for the icon's services.
