Arsenal's Premier League opener delayed by turnstile failure
By the time the game was set to start, about 35,000 fans still had not reached their seats due to an e-ticketing issue.
E-ticketing system failure left thousands of fans stranded outside the Emirates Stadium resulting in a 30-minute delay in Arsenal's Premier League opener against Nottingham Forest.
According to local media, over 35,000 supporters were still unable to reach their seats by the planned kick-off time of 1130GMT.
In a statement, Arsenal said that "this afternoon's game with Nottingham Forest will now kick off at 1 pm (UK), due to a delay at the turnstiles."
The Gunners want to improve on their second-place finish to Manchester City from the previous season, so they're hoping for a quick start.
Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, and Jurrien Timber, who collectively cost Arsenal over $254 million, have all been chosen for their league debuts from the outset.
With a 3-0 victory over Burnley on Friday, City started their championship defense off on the right foot.
