27-year-old Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes and other passengers in the vehicle did not sustain major injuries, however, this is unconfirmed. It's unclear how serious the accident was, how many people were in the Porsche, or how badly the automobile was damaged.

Fernandes is due to work out at Carrington on Monday. On Tuesday evening, United will face bitter rivals Liverpool at Anfield. It's unclear whether the Portuguese player will face Jurgen Klopp's title-chasing Liverpool. The Reds defeated United 5-0 at Old Trafford earlier this season.

Though ESPN UK cited sources as saying that Fernandes is expected to be ready for his team's match against Liverpool despite being involved in the car crash.

Ralf Rangnick, the interim manager, will appear to the media on Monday afternoon and is anticipated to provide an update on Fernandes.

United is yet to comment on the incident, initially reported by the Press Association's Simon Peach.

Since joining United from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020, Fernandes has scored 49 goals in 120 games across all competitions. He became the first player to win four Premier League Player of the Month accolades in a calendar year when he did so in 2020.

Fernandes just extended his contract at Old Trafford, demonstrating his value to the team. He has 42 caps for Portugal and helped his country win the Nations League in 2019.

United is currently fifth in the Premier League, three points behind Tottenham in fourth. They have six league games remaining this season against Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Brentford, Brighton, and Crystal Palace.
