England beat Australia 3-1, to face Spain in Women's World Cup final
The FIFA Women's World Cup final will see Spain facing England.
England will play Spain in the final of the Women's World Cup after defeating co-hosts Australia 3-1 on Wednesday in front of more than 75,000 people in Sydney.
The Lionesses took the lead in the first half through Ella Toone, only for Sam Kerr to equalize just after the hour, before Lauren Hemp and Alessia Russo scored to put England into the final.
They had stumbled at the same stage twice before but the European champions now made no mistake this time and made their way into the final for the first time.

England will now face a final on Sunday, at Stadium Australia, against a dangerous Spanish side that beat Sweden 2-1 in the quarter-final.
The team had been in this position before, in 2015 and 2019, losing 2-1 on both occasions, with a third-place finish as their best World Cup before now.
Despite losing, Australia have enjoyed their best World Cup ever, with a scheduled third-placed playoff against Sweden on Saturday.
