It’s Gone Viral: Palestinian Football Team Wore Algerian Flag T-shirts
In a gesture to thank Algeria for constantly supporting the Palestinian cause, the Palestinian football team wore a shirt bearing the Algerian flag in its latest match.
Usually, the Palestinian football club, Al-Sawahra, would wear black football uniforms with the Palestinian flag on its t-shirts during matches.
Yet, the Al-Quds-based Palestinian football team wore a shirt bearing the Algerian flag in its match against Jenin Center in the Palestinian first division football league.
Pictures of the football match, which took place on Saturday, have gone viral on social media.

The Al-Sawahra Al-Maqdisi Club, which was founded in 1976, is currently ranked eighth in the Palestinian League.
Algeria has taken honorable stances in support of the Palestinian cause on several occasions. Furthermore, the Algerian presidency has previously shown clear rejection of normalizing ties with the Israeli occupation.
The Foreign Minister of Algeria, Ramtane Lamamra, has lately condemned the campaign led by Morocco to grant "Israel" observer status in the African Union.
Lamamra stressed that all Arab and African member countries oppose granting "Israel" observer status, with the exception of Morocco.
