Manchester Police looking into Greenwood's alleged assault on woman
Manchester United and local police are looking into assault allegations against football player Mason Greenwood.
English football club Manchester United confirmed they are aware of the "images and allegations circulating on social media" linked to their player Mason Greenwood over assaulting a woman.
In a statement, the Premier League club pointed out that “We will not make any further comment until the facts have been established."
"Manchester United does not condone violence of any kind," the club added.
On her Instagram account, a woman -- Harriet Robson -- posted images, videos, and audio records, alleging that Greenwood assaulted her for not engaging in sexual intercourse with him.
The statement from the Premier League club was issued in response to allegations being posted within images and audio that are no longer visible on a woman’s Instagram account.
