Rennes managed to defeat its guest, Paris Saint-Germain, 2-0 in the ninth stage of the French Football League.

Gaetan Laborde scored the first goal in the 45th minute, then Flavien Tait added the second goal at the beginning of the second half in the 46th minute.

With this win, Rennes stopped PSG's eight-match winning streak in the league this season, as this is PSG's first loss since April when they lost 1-0 against last season's champions Lille OSG.

It is worth mentioning that Rennes spent 80 million euros ($92.6 million) on new signings in the summer, more than any team in the French league, including PSG.

Rennes's tally of 12 points is in seventh place, while Saint-Germain's tally of 24 points remains in the lead.
