Sergio Ramos to Finally Make PSG Debut
The Spanish football star has been missing from PSG’s ranks since he joined the club back in July.
Sergio Ramos, one of the world’s leading football stars, is finally set to make his Paris Saint-Germain debut.
The 35-year-old Spanish defender has joined the French club since July, but a nagging calf injury held him from appearing in matches since.
Ramos joining PSG was viewed as a big win for the club, as his résumé is a stellar one having won the 2010 World Cup, four Champions League trophies with former home club Real Madrid not to mention two European Championships with Spain.
PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino commented on the news by revealing that Ramos “has been with the first team squad for two weeks now, he needs games and to adapt to a new league.”
The infamous coach was expected to name the Spanish star in his side for the Champions League away match at Manchester City, which ended with a 2-1 defeat for PSG.
Yet Ramos is anticipated to enter the battlefield in a rather docile environment on Sunday, with PSG on its way to reclaim the Ligue 1 crown with a lead of 11-point at the top of the French top flight.
