On Wednesday, Britain announced an agreement with Japan to collaborate on developing fighter jet technologies.
The work would begin early next year, according to the UK Defense Ministry. The nations will work together to develop jet engine demonstration technologies.

The UK will initially contribute $39.8 million in strategy, digital design, and production.
Britain is expected to finance the collaboration with an additional $265.5 million, according to the statement.
