Social media platforms X and X Pro crash globally
Data from Downdetector shows that users around the globe struggled with access issues with X and X Pro.
According to Downdetector.com, social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and X Pro crashed, sending outages globally early Thursday.
Downdetector tracks outages by gathering status reports from different sources including users.
Users on the platform reported being unable to view posts on the platform, that gave them a message saying "Welcome to X!"

Even users of X Pro, formerly TweetDeck, were provided a message saying "Waiting for posts."
Data from Downdetector shows that more than 47,000 users in the US struggled with access issues with X and X Pro. That number of course is much bigger when users around the world are taken into consideration.
The reason for the outage has not been revealed yet, but the platform has been restored as of Thursday morning - hours after the crash.
Concerns over both performance and user safety on the network have grown, in addition to concerns about its technical functioning, because major layoffs struck the content moderation and misinformation teams.
