Trump may be allowed on Facebook again
The former US President may be making it back to the social media platforms as of January 2023.
Former US President Donald Trump could be making an appearance back on Facebook before the 2024 election after being suspended for two years. His suspension, according to Facebook's decision, will expire in 2023, according to the Washington Examiner, citing Nick Clegg, president for global affairs at Meta.
According to Clegg, Trump may be returning to Facebook in January, speaking at a Semafor-hosted event on Thursday, the report wrote.
"When you make a decision that affects the public realm, you need to act with great caution," Clegg said, as per the report. "You shouldn’t throw your weight about."
After the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021, Trump was banned from Twitter and Facebook, with both platforms arguing that Trump's activities in relation to the riots were violating their policies.

In July 2021, Trump filed lawsuits against Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey, the CEOs of Facebook and Twitter respectively.
Mar-a-Lago raid will only strengthen Trump in 2024 election
The FBI's raid on former US President Donald Trump's home has only strengthened his positioning in the next presidential election in 2024 in case federal law enforcement authorities fail to convict him on felony charges, according to analysts.
The FBI executed a search warrant at Trump's Mar-A-Lago residence in Florida on August 8, raiding the home and searching its contents for nine hours, seizing 11 documents and other materials, including "Top Secret" documents.
Charles Ortel, former hedge fund manager and political commentator said, "Unless Donald Trump is convicted of one or more felonies before November 2024, he is now, on paper, a much stronger contender than he was before the Mar-a-Lago raid."
Ortel argued that the raid and the fact that Attorney General Merrick Garland approved the warrant personally is an assault on the US Constitution.
"Whether you like Donald Trump or loathe him… you must understand that running the Federal Bureau of Investigation like a Stasi or Gestapo is so far beyond acceptable that it is worse than laughable," he said.
The conventional wisdom is that this raid hurts Trump - however, that is wrong, according to Sam Husseini, a political analyst and founder of VotePact.org.
"This keeps the focus on Trump. It adds yet another dimension to the myriad of ways liberals have obsessed over 'getting him' or seeming to at apparently any cost. But he feeds off the notoriety," Husseini told Sputnik.
