'Israel' resumes extensive strikes on Gaza, reneging on ceasefire
After a fragile two-month ceasefire and the failure to progress to the second phase of negotiations amid "Israel's" intransigence, "Israel" has unleashed, once again, its genocidal war on Gaza with intense airstrikes, killing at least 326 Palestinians, according to Gaza's Health Ministry, which has declared a state of emergency. Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported a new wave of Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple cities, including a particularly heavy bombardment in eastern Gaza. Israeli warplanes have targeted homes in Rafah and northeast of the Nuseirat refugee camp, while artillery shelling has intensified east of Khan Younis in al-Fukhari. Meanwhile, Palestinian media confirmed the killing of Major General Mahmoud Abu Watfa, Gaza’s Deputy Minister of Interior, in an Israeli strike on Gaza City. The Israeli occupation military has also issued evacuation orders for several neighborhoods.
