'Israel' threatens Qatar at UN Security Council during meeting on Israeli strikes in Doha
The UN Security Council convened an emergency session on Thursday, September 11, after Israeli strikes struck Doha, targeting Hamas negotiators during talks on a US-mediated proposal. While "Israel’s" envoy boasted there is "no sanctuary for terrorists… not in Gaza, not in Tehran, not in Doha,” Council members condemned the violation of Qatari sovereignty, expressed solidarity with Doha, and reaffirmed Qatar’s role as a mediator. The Israeli strikes come as Gaza reels from more than 62,000 Palestinian deaths, widespread Israeli-made famine, and relentless, ruthless massacres, which raises questions over how "Israel" justifies expanding its aggression beyond Gaza’s borders under the guise of "self-defense."
