'Israel's policies and actions in Gaza meet legal definition of genocide,' says IAGS Pres.

Melanie O’Brien, President of the International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS), announced that the association "has passed a resolution declaring that Israel's policies and actions in Gaza meet the legal definition of genocide, as found in the Genocide Convention." She further warned that "there is no justification for the commission of war crimes, crimes against humanity, or genocide, not even self-defense." O’Brien added that "now that we are almost two years beyond that, that justification has really gone out the window."
