HR advocates urge Canada to recognize Palestinian state

Human rights activists held a press conference in Ottawa to commemorate the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, urging Canada to officially recognize Palestine as a state, impose sanctions on high-ranking Israeli officials, and establish a complete arms embargo. Speakers, including Ganiyat Sadiq of Justice For All Canada, emphasized, "Negotiating a two-state solution is impossible if one of those states is not acknowledged." Sadiq also demanded the Canadian government uphold international law and prevent further loss of life.
