Israeli captives' families demand full implementation of Gaza ceasefire deal
The families of Israeli captives took to the streets of Tel Aviv, demanding the completion of all stages of the prisoner-captive exchange deal, and refraining from any actions that could derail its implementation. The protests erupted in light of Israeli Police Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's call for "returning to war and destroy!" In a post on X, Ben-Gvir called for an all-out attack on Gaza "by air and land" and "the halt of humanitarian aid, including electricity, fuel, and water" as well as "bombing aid packages." Earlier, Hamas spokesperson Abu Obeida said "Israel" has been violating the agreement over the past three weeks by prohibiting the return of Palestinians to the northern district, targeting civilians, and restricting aid entry. In response, Hamas postponed the scheduled handover of Israeli captives, insisting on full compliance before proceeding.
