Lebanese Civil Defense rescuer recounts harrowing scenes after Israeli airstrike in Akkar
In an exclusive interview for Al Mayadeen, a Civil Defense rescuer described the horrific aftermath of an Israeli airstrike on a home in Ain Yaaqoub, Akkar, northern Lebanon. The house, which sheltered displaced families, including Syrians and local residents, was obliterated, leaving 16 dead and 10 injured. "When we arrived, bodies and debris were scattered everywhere," the rescuer recalled. "We found a woman holding a tray, a child, and others with severed limbs. Body parts were everywhere."
