Pope Leo XIV arrives in Lebanon with the message: 'Blessed are the peacemakers'

Pope Leo XIV arrived in Lebanon on Sunday, November 30, carrying a message of hope, and chose the Christian teaching “Blessed are the peacemakers” as his message to the Lebanese people. The pope is set to meet Lebanon's President Joseph Aoun, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, and Head of Parliament Nabih Berri. He will also deliver a speech to authorities and diplomats at the presidential palace later in the afternoon.
