Students at the American University in Cairo (AUC) rallied inside the campus in support of Gaza and Palestine, joining the global movement seen across American and European campuses. Reiterating their call for their administration to sever connections with corporations aiding the Israeli occupation, AUC students held several banners, including one that read "Boycott and Divest," as reported by Reuters. Egyptian media reported that the protesters called on the university’s administration to "immediately cut ties with AXA and HP, commit to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, commit to full financial transparency in the future, and modify future contracts with on-campus vendors to block products tied to the occupation of Palestinian lands."
