Thailand becomes the first country to legalize cannabis in Asia

Thailand was the first Asian country to legalize marijuana, but with a catch. It is no longer illegal to produce and trade marijuana and hemp products, or to utilize components of the plant to treat illnesses. But the recreational use of the plant remains illegal.
