When accountability is too much to handle: 'Israel' quits UN Human Rights Council
On February 6, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar announced that he had informed the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) of "Israel's" intention to "join the United States and will not participate in the UNHRC." He accused the council of "institutional bias against Israel in the Human Rights Council, which has been persistent since its inception in 2006." However, the documented cases of torturing Palestinians in Israeli prisons, settlers storming and vandalizing Palestinian homes, and forcibly displacing and ethnically cleansing Palestinians prove who the true "serial human rights abusers" are.
