Why is Trump sending Venezuelan immigrants to Guantanamo?

US President Donald Trump has been sending planes full of immigrants to Guantanamo Bay in what legal experts branded as a legal black hole. Trump claims these immigrants are gang members while families and relatives refute the accusations. Is this just yet another Trump episode, or does he have an underlying reason?
