Seif Al-Quds battle: A military setback for "Israel's" colonial-settler occupation (Part I)
This battle is a significant setback for the colonial-settler state in Palestine and for the wider Zionist project in the Arab world, in West Asia in Iran, Africa, South Asia, and now in Eurasia.
A new phase of military resistance to defeat Israeli settler colonial occupation and apartheid of the Zionist supremacist and racist Israeli regime began with the May 2021 Seif Al-Quds battle, [Sword of Quds] led by the Palestinian Liberation Movement Hamas based in Gaza, and Al-Quds Brigade, the military wing of Islamic Jihad based in Damascus. The battle was a strategic military response to Israeli colonial occupation and brutal atrocities to evict Palestinians from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Al-Quds; in retaliation for the Israeli armored vehicles' attacks on Palestinians and historic places of religious worship and holy sites of Palestinian Muslims and Christians, including in the vicinity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, inflicting serious injuries on more than a thousand Palestinians; and in reprisal for to Israeli bombings during the fourth invasion of Gaza, killing 253 Palestinians including 66 children and 35 women. Simultaneously with Israeli bombing operations in Gaza, armed Israeli settlers began pogroms against Palestinian civilians in "Israel" calling for ‘ Death to the Arabs’.
In this battle, the Palestinian Military Resistance finally shed its victimhood despite losses, confidently asserting its military capability, displaying the technological advance of the Resistance by swiftly launching rockets and missiles against Israeli targets with precision and tactical ingenuity from the outset of Israeli attacks. Approximately 137 missiles were launched in just five minutes, a remarkable feat for the Resistance movement. The speed with which missiles were fired flooded the highly hyped Israeli Iron Dome system impacting its batteries and radar. "Israel" and the Iron Dome system were exposed in this battle as vulnerable. Whereas the Iron Dome could intercept 4000 missiles, the system was unable to intercept 800 missiles launched by the Palestinian military resistance which hit targets in cities across "Israel" causing large-scale damage and casualties, disclosing the military fragility of "Israel" and its weapons systems. The Israeli military strategy of aerial bombings was unable to deter missile attacks and the Israeli occupation forces aborted their ground operations, Israelis were apprehensive of increasing casualties if the war continued. Small Palestinian reconnaissance and armed drones now have the capacity to successfully penetrate the Israeli defense system. The technological advance of the Palestinian Resistance continues, inspired by the achievements of Hezbollah, the National Resistance of Lebanon, the first Resistance movement in the region to expose and prove that "Israel" was far from invincible, and that Israeli weapon systems and tanks and Israeli soldiers were vulnerable. Hezbollah’s victory in 2006 against what were projected till then as superior and invincible Israeli forces, proved that "Israel" could be defeated by a determined national resistance. As a direct consequence of the Seif Al-Quds battle, the Israeli Armed Forces were compelled to postpone their May 2021 ‘Chariots of Fire’ military exercises, announced as the largest military maneuvers in the history of the Israeli occupation, simulating a multi-front war. This military training is now being held by Israeli Occupation Forces possibly as an adjunct to US- and UK-led NATO warmongering in Ukraine, seeking to escalate the conflict and a wider war with the Russian Federation. All Resistance forces in the region have taken note of this military exercise, and are in readiness for any eventuality.
The short yet dramatic Seif Al-Quds battle is being commemorated in the month of May, a year later, in Palestine and by all resistance movements in the region for the first time in the epic struggle of one of the oldest movements for National Liberation. There was no Israeli military, political, or diplomatic victory and no exultation and celebration by "Israel" and its colonial-settler population, unlike in previous Israeli wars in the region and repeated invasions against Gaza and ethnic cleansing operations in other Palestinian territories. Whereas Palestinians in Gaza and in all Israeli occupied territories and cities led processions and rejoiced along with supporters in the region, because this battle is seen as the answer to "Israel's" genocide and destruction of Palestinian towns, villages and homes; dehumanizing brutalities on Palestinian men, women and children of Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem and other occupied territories; seizures of extensive Palestinian territories and water resources; the building of illegal walls and check posts by the occupying power restricting Palestinian access to livelihood and agricultural lands; launching constant attacks on the holy sites of Islam and Christianity and violating the right to freedom of worship of the Palestinian people. The Seif Al-Quds battle is a declaration that there will be no acquiescence by the Palestinian people to the Israeli colonial occupation of Palestine, despite the Abraham accords signed by Bahrain and the UAE with "Israel", to the more than a hundred years old plan of the British ‘Balfour Declaration’ to occupy and colonize Palestine, as per the overt and covert agreement of the then Government of Great Britain with the British Zionist Banker Rothschild serving Anglo-American Imperial and Zionist global banking and financial interests in the region and worldwide.
This battle is a significant setback for the colonial-settler state in Palestine and for the wider Zionist project in the Arab world, in West Asia in Iran, in Africa, in South Asia and now in Eurasia including in Ukraine, as per the design of the Yinon-Odet plan and other such plans to manipulate racial, religious and denominational, tribal, regional and other diversities in countries in wider regions to create internal fractures, and establish proxy governments to control several countries and their internal and external security; including by supplying weapons, security and electronic surveillance systems, intelligence gathering for ruling elites, and supplying private Security Agencies in the interest of the Anglo-American-Zionist global economic, political and military project, directed against all states asserting their sovereignty and independence.
Tragically the United Nations General Assembly Palestine Partition Resolution of 1948 was a violation of the International Law and the General Assembly’s Resolutions on decolonization, self-determination and National Liberation Movements. The stand of India on the 1948 Partition Resolution of the General Assembly was in keeping with the political history of the region and the anti-colonial movements of the people of Asia, Africa and the Americas; based on the declaration of Mahatma Gandhi while he was still in South Africa, that Palestine belonged to Palestinians. The representative of India in the General Assembly, highlighted during the debate on the Partition Resolution, that Palestine was a Palestinian territory and could not be partitioned after the British Mandate ended. India voted against the Partition of Palestine and against the creation of "Israel", recognizing that "Israel" was a European colonial-settler project just as in French-occupied Algeria with European, East European and US citizens settled on Palestinian territory for better control of the Middle East and neighboring regions. After the creation of "Israel", there was also a migration of Russian Jews from the former Soviet Union, and later, a migration from the Russian Federation of Russian citizens of Jewish descent during the hardship of the rapacious ‘Neoliberal Economic Reforms’ imposed on Russia, which was an Anglo-American-Zionist project. Since the political capitulation of the former USSR in 1990 and the establishment of an independent Ukrainian State, Ukrainian Jewish citizens are being settled in "Israel". New colonial settlements are constantly built by "Israel" for these migrants who hold dual citizenship, while Palestinians are continuously killed, maimed and evicted, their villages and homes bulldozed.
