COVID-19 takes lives of more than 3 million people

According to the US Worldometers website, COVID-19 caused the death of more than 3,750 million people since its outbreak in December 2019.

COVID-19 took the lives of more than 3.75 million people around the world since its outbreak in December 2019, according to the latest statistics by Worldometers.

According to Worldometers, there are 174,348,206 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 3,750,967 deaths, and 157,598,142 recoveries.

The United States is still the most affected country, having the highest confirmed Coronavirus cases and deaths, with 612,603 deaths out of 34,223,497 cases, followed by India at 351,344 deaths out of 28,996,949 cases, and Brazil 474,414 deaths out of 16,984,218 cases.

An Indian government statement said that the country recorded Tuesday 86,498 new COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours, the lowest toll in 66 days. The Indian Ministry of Health said that the number of daily deaths increased by 2123.

In Germany, the Robert Koch Institute's data revealed that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by 1204 cases, reaching 3,702,688. The data revealed that the deaths increased by 140 to reach 89,384 deaths.

In China, the Health authorities said in a statement Tuesday that they recorded 33 new COVID-19 cases on the mainland on June 7, up from 19 cases the day before.

The Chinese health authorities issued a statement Tuesday saying that they recorded 33 COVID-19 cases on the mainland on June 7, an increase of 19 cases from the day before.

The National Health Committee said that among the new cases, 19 were recorded in the Guangdong Province, southern China.

China also recorded 16 new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases, compared to 21 a day earlier. China does not classify asymptomatic cases among the confirmed ones.

By Monday, China had recorded 91,300 confirmed cases, while the number of deaths remained unchanged at 4,636.

In Brazil, the Ministry of Health said Monday that the country had recorded 37,156 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, in addition to 1,010 deaths.

The country has recorded 16,984,218 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, while the total number of deaths has risen to 474,414, according to the ministry's data.
