At least 12 wounded in mass shooting in Philadelphia
The assailants reportedly got out of a car and began shooting at a crowd, firing about 40 shots and injuring at least 12.
The Police in Philadelphia reported on Sunday that twelve people have been shot in a mass shooting in Philadelphia, leaving two in critical condition.
According to Philadelphia First Deputy Police Commissioner John Stanford, several shooters got out of a vehicle in the Kensington area of the Pennsylvania city and began shooting, firing about 40 shots outside of a pub late on Saturday night.

The wounded have been rushed to be treated in the hospital.
So far, two of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
It was unclear who the shooters were exactly aiming at. Stanford said the police are investigating the case.

The US has in recent years witnessed a concerning increase in mass shootings, including in schools in which dozens have died this year alone.
Education Week reports that there have been 40 school shootings this year that resulted in injuries or deaths, the most in a single year since the organization began to track such incidents in 2018.
