French police tear gas PSG fans in Paris after World Cup defeat
Some fans reportedly clashed with law enforcers after the police detained individuals deemed violent.
An RIA Novosti correspondent reported on Sunday that French law enforcers used tear gas to ward off dismayed Paris Saint-Germain supporters in the Champ-Elysees in Paris following France's defeat against Argentina in the World Cup finale in Qatar.
Earlier today, it was reported that Argentina won the World Cup for the third time, beating France 4-2 on penalties.

The police reportedly started to use tear gas as they were being pelted with firecrackers by PSG fans.

The police blocked traffic at the site and near the Arc de Triomphe prior to the start of the World Cup final in preparations for the ensuing riots.
About 14,000 police officers were patrolling the French capital on Sunday evening.
