Two separate shootings occurred at the annual summer carnival in the middle of the Dutch port city of Rotterdam, with one of the shootings injuring two persons and the gunman, according to Dutch media.

One perpetrator fired six rounds into the audience at the event on Saturday afternoon, but no one was harmed, according to the Dutch Broadcasting Foundation, quoting police.
Later that day, another shooting spree occurred on the same street. Officers who heard the gunfire opened fire on the assailant. According to the story, in addition to the gunman and his victim, a woman passing by was hurt.
The condition of wounded victims remains unknown.
The Rotterdam police apprehended three persons as a result of the occurrences, according to the station.
The Dutch Summer Carnaval is comparable to Latin American carnivals in which people congregate to dance to Latin American music.
