A tragic cable car accident in Turkey's southern province of Antalya resulted in one death and seven injuries.
A total of 184 individuals were left stranded in 25 suspended cabins when the system halted. The Duvar online news portal reported, citing Antalya Mayor Muhittin Bocek.
Two children were injured when the cable car cabin collided with a fallen cable car pole. Firefighters, police, medical personnel, and rescue teams were dispatched.

A Coast Guard helicopter evacuated the injured from the scene. The Russian consulate general in Antalya has not been informed of Russians among the wounded.
Rescue teams, as stated by Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority chief Okay Memis, have evacuated 128 individuals who were trapped in the cabins.

“We have evacuated 128 people from 16 cabins, and 43 others remain in eight cabins,” Memis told TRT Haber.
Bocek stated that the cable car, inaugurated in 2017, has been subject to all required safety assessments each year since its opening.
Turkish Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc announced that an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
