Plane collides with car at military base near Turin, killing child
A five-year-old girl lost her life due to burns, while her nine-year-old brother sustained injuries.
During a training flight at a military base near Turin, a plane from the Frecce Tricolori aerobatic demonstration team crashed, resulting in a tragic incident.
According to reports from the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, the aircraft struck a car carrying a family of four during its descent outside the runway.
Tragically, a five-year-old girl lost her life due to burns, while her nine-year-old brother sustained injuries.
La Repubblica reported that the young boy, along with his parents, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Additionally, the pilot was hospitalized after a video circulated by Italian media showed him ejecting at a low altitude.
In light of the tragic accident, the organizers of the air show, originally planned to commemorate the centenary of Frecce Tricolori and scheduled for Sunday, made the decision to cancel the event.

The Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team, similar to the US Navy's Blue Angels, the British Royal Air Force Red Arrows, or the Russian Knights, represents the demonstration arm of the Italian Air Force.
